|My name is Steve Johnson.
Since getting forced to retire last year I have ramped up my antique
radio hobby into a full time business. I have spent years collecting
radios and the original radio manufacturer's factory service manuals
and schematics and now offer my antique radio service library on line
through my web sites. I sell them all over the world. It's been a tough
year and a tremendous amount of work getting things going but it's been
worth it. The stress from my government job is gone and working at home
is great. It's nice to be able to do something you enjoy for a living.
Besides collecting antique radios and record players, I also have a large
collection of vintage test equipment.

I have recently retired as a school social worker after 25 years and started my own business where I conduct cognitive behavioral therapy groups for children with social skills deficits. I help children make friends, get along better with the friends they have, and deal with teasing and bullying. My practice is located in Commack which is in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY.

Animal Rescue Site Needs Our Help …. For Free!
You may have seen this going around but the Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute (How about 20 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box "fund food for animals" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing.
Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! PLEASE PASS IT ALONG to people you know.

An eBay Trading Assistant
I have known Michael for many years. He is a true friend and is an expert in
assisting people (since 1989!) in cleaning out their homes or estates after relocating
or after the loss of a loved one. Michael buys antiques, old documents & papers,
old paintings & musical instruments, early almanacs and photographs and every
imaginable item associated with estate sales. Michael also asks, “have you looked
in the attic, cellar or catch-all lately? You'd be surprised at the value that can
be found there.”

understanding of the specific application to prevent any regulatory or implementation
issues, augmented by our past work experience in the trenches, so to speak. Everything

NEW Dan Fogelberg CD
Our friend Fred Migliore, host of FM Odyssey, the long-running nationally syndicated
radio show, has released a 2 CD interview retrospective with Dan Fogelberg. During
the interview, Fred engaged Dan in a wonderful, animated conversation about Dan's
first 25 years in the music business. You will hear 13 full-length songs, including
"Same Old Lang Syne," "Nether Lands," "The Last Nail," and "Mountains To The Sea,"
as well as Dan's thoughts on many of those songs. I got such a huge response from
my February 2008 missive about Dan, who passed on in December 2007 from prostate
cancer, I thought you would be interested in this recording. This 2 CD Collector's
Edition is available for $29.95 at www.fmodyssey.com. Three dollars from each CD sold
will go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation in Dan's name.

Safe and Sound Video
A couple of years ago I started a little, tiny side business. I take people's home movies and convert time to DVD. I can do all kinds of film and video formats - hell, I've even got an old Betamax player. It's really turned into a nice little business for me - If I can grow it a little more, it may turn out that I've created my own job instead of working for someone else full-time.
Secretary of the Arts
You may have seen this already, but it is so important I am passing it on. Quincy Jones has started a petition to ask President-Elect Obama to appoint a Secretary of the Arts.
While many other countries have had Ministers of Art or Culture for centuries, The United States has never created such a position. The arts need this and we in this country need the arts--now more than ever. Please take a moment to sign this important petition and then pass it on to your friends and colleagues.
